MUSIC BEES IS A CLASS FOR little ones and their carers. It runs in the Thornhill Community Centre on Tuesdays from 2-2.30 for babies, and 2.30-3 for toddlers & pre-schoolers.
Cost: £2 per session.
Classes started in September 2011, and look set to continue from January 2012, during term-time only. They are co-run by Adelaide and Maris - both mums and musicians based in or near Thornhill.

Little Ash Trees
At Ash Tree Music & Movement classes, Adelaide will instill in your child a love of all music, using a fantastic collection of recorded and live music, percussive and tuned instruments, colourful props and toys, and her own imagination to create musical experiences through which children move, dance, listen, play, laugh and sing. As the children become accustomed to the material and the gentle but enjoyable routine, children will noticeably develop rhythmically and musically. Using similar techniques but with an emphasis on magic and adventure, Adelaide also provides musical birthday party entertainment for the same age range.
Toddlers and babies, with a parent or friend, will love these musical classes, which will be a mixture of stimulating music to listen and move to, as well as fun song games during which you bounce, jump, dance and sing. Colourful props like ribbons, scarfs and soft toys (not to mention baby friendly instruments, and the sounds of cello, accordion, fiddle and guitar) add to the friendly and enjoyable atmosphere of these sessions, specially designed for 0-3 year olds and their parents/carers.
These classes will help to develop co-ordination, speech, communication, interaction, parent-child bonding and a love of rhythm, song and music.
